Infrastructure & OnSite Services is a global entity of approximately 1200 employees and consultants, present on many Volvo Group sites. IOS mission is to deliver on-premises IT services, to support the infrastructure and all local systems, and manage business needs related to end-user-services and infrastructure.

Business Infrastructure Management is a global function which has the accountability in front of P&IT stakeholders within various TDBA’s for the End user services and Shared Infrastructure services. The mission is to ensure service suitability and quality, increase efficiency and maximize business value for the respective TDBA’s.
Business Infrastructure Manager for UD Trucks Sales.
In this role you will be reporting to the Manager - UD Trucks Business Infrastructure Management
Role mission & context
You will have the overall accountability for EUS and Infrastructure services within UD Truck Sales department. You are their main contact point and interface into the IT organisation on the infrastructure matters. You manage and prioritise business requirements coming from the customer and either find a suitable IT service to meet the needs or advocate for creation of a new service. You represent the interests of UD Truck Sales interests in various community forums and service development work groups. You are accountable that EUS and Shared Infrastructure services work well and fit the business needs of UD Trucks Sales. You manage local infrastructure budgets. You contribute to realisation of UD trucks strategic goals and to the group service strategy. You operate in a global context, having a number of interfaces to other IOS functions, HCL, Group IT units, and IT stakeholders within Volvo Group
Business Infrastructure manager UD Trucks Sales
Overall accountable for all EUS and infrastructure matters towards UD Trucks Sales stakeholders and stakeholders within UD Trucks Process and Solutions management team.
Steer shared infrastructure and EUS projects for UD Trucks Sales.
Represent UD Trucks Sales interests in global Infrastructure Portfolio projects
Maximize business value and efficiency of services
Manage business demands collection and prioritization
Drive infrastructure demands from UD truck Sales within Group IT
Champion prioritized business needs and constraints in infrastructure governance forums and workgroups
Trigger deliveries of standard services
Cascade change management & rollouts with business stakeholders and users
Follow BIM KPIs (user driven costs, user driven volumes, quality) and decide and execute needed corrective actions
Put demands on the IT services roadmaps, features, and service levels
Specify and describe IT Services in the EUS domain, based on roadmaps and financial framework
Enforcing IT Security Policies and raising exemption requests
Financial budget and follow up responsibilities for the one time deliveries
Financial budget and follow up responsibilities for IT infrastructure spend in UD Trucks Sales
Challenge and authorize demands and requests coming from UD Trucks Sales
Decide which demands and requests coming from UD trucks must be prioritized in case of resources / budget conflict or shortage
Prioritize and trigger service deployment initiatives for UD Trucks Sales, within the strict budget frames agreed in Business Infrastructure management team.
Since you will be performing in a business facing role you need have sound ability to create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation with business counterparts. You have proven experience in customer interaction and excel in demonstrating values aligned with Volvo Core values.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. Due to scope of the interaction for this role you must be fluent both in Japanese and English languages and based in Japan. It is important you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge in your organisation. You also have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
Relevant university degree
Strong experience from working with an IT management organization
Strong experience of managing interactions with business stakeholders
Knowledge of IT Services and Volvo Group organization, strategy and objectives
Experience in leadership in a global context
Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
Complete proficiency in English and Japanese is a requirement
Knowledge about the solutions and customers in scope is meriting
Knowledge about IT Services management is meriting
