The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position to which you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in 3 countries.
The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and an international assignment.
During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.
【 Mission/purpose of the Job 】
Develop and execute the product plan for International Sales.
Develop the product strategy for keeping in view the market development, usage conditions specifying them in line with the application, segment requirements, and regulations.
Manage the product portfolio and each product’s specifications to continuously improve its performance, productivity, fuel efficiency and sustain its competitive edge and stay ahead on product performance in comparison to other competing products available in the market.
Develop and implement new transportation solutions for customers based on our products to improve the customer’s business and its profitability.
Continuously measure field performance and improvements implemented on the product(s) to benchmark and maintain competitive edge.
Guide the sales team to get right products, right specifications to customers and in ordering the right specifications for the sales stock.
Organize and provide product training to all the employees including the distribution network, provide body builder training and provide assistance/guidance in mounting new superstructures / bodies.
Engage in various product development projects to provide inputs on market requirements to ensure the right features and specifications are developed for the market in line with local regulations and customer’s needs.
Leverage GTA competences in area to monitor prices on the market.
Participate to BPS and run them when needed.
Maintain, coordinate, and approve the segmentation per market with GTA support
【 Key responsibilities/Accountabilities 】
Engage with stakeholders to deliver on the product strategy, product plan, and specifications
Actively engage with product team in brand in Ageo
Manage the Product Modification Request process for International Sales
Field validation and feedback on product performance
Drive and manage field testing activities for product validation
Benchmark against competition and improve the product performance continuously to deliver better performance to the customers
Manage the systems and Tools for product management and sales support
VSS related product and ordering support to sales and logistics team and to help them and our dealers to specify and follow up on the non-standard vehicles (NSV)
To keeping the market specifications and updated in VSS
【 Experience and knowledge 】
PC skills, including proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel (Data analysis)
【 Technical/functional/language skills 】
Fluent in Japanese and English
Good communication skills
Good appearance, positive image
