Role Summary/Purpose

Japan GSC Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting Healthcare Hino manufacturing team improving productivity, driving simplification and digitization and achieving financial and operational target. This position reports to Japan GSC Finance Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support various Hino manufacturing initiative for productivity improvement, simplification and digitization through financial analysis

• Provide guidance and training to manufacturing team by leveraging finance domain expertise

• Analyze monthly actual PL to measure & drive productivity and forecast quarter end financial (variable cost, base cost, CCP, MOH, PPV, inventory)

• Facilitate annual financial planning process (SII, OP)

• Coordinate the annual standard costing process across the company by closely working with sourcing and manufacturing team

• Lead manufacturing related controllership areas (e.g. annual physical inventory)

• Drive simplification projects, such as outsourcing, digitization, elimination and simplification to create capacity within GSC Finance team

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or minimum of three years financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews

  2. Interest in the supply chain

  3. Strong analytical skills

  4. Solid PC skills

  5. Fluency in Japanese & English

  6. Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  3. Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills; confidence to deliver difficult messages and defend position

  4. Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  5. Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP

  6. Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma

  7. Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) or graduate of other financial leadership programs
