Dell Global Supply Mgmt Advisor in Kanagawa, Japan

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Manage 3rd party SnP (Software and Peripheral) suppliers (include distributors and manufacturers/publishers).

  • Own the Japan and Korea distribution sourcing strategy and distributor relationship.

  • Drive saving through support the business growth.

  • Lead the S&P regional and Japan/Korea specific projects/initiatives.

  • Work with other APJ team members and global counterparts to execute global initiatives and projects.

  • Manage distribution cost / Markup and other commercial terms thru RFX, Cost Negotiation and other methods.

  • Govern any new distributor request to make sure align with global strategy

  • Interface and partner with regional operations, fulfillment, sales and marketing contacts.

  • Manage requests for new vendor on-boarding thru the onboarding tool and standard process, and liaison with Dell internal cross-functional team to close the onboarding.

  • Manage requests for new OEM on boarding in Japan&Korea, set up distribution per strategy and follow up with GCM/Contract team to close OEM contract.

  • Maintain S&P AVL(Approved Vendor List) and PVL(Preferred Vendor List) to guide the business for right sourcing channel

  • Identify process improvement & standardization opportunity and drive continuous efforts to improve SnP procurement operations and lower the cost of procurement

  • Other assignments base on business needs.

  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes

  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills

  • Strong supplier evaluation skills and price/cost analysis skills.

  • Good at problem solving and analytics.

  • Contract development and contract negotiation skills.

  • Strong data analysis skill

  • Good communicator, good at alignment with cross functional teams.

  • Process improvement skill, green belt preferred.

  • Able to work on multiple tasks, and understand priorities and able to communicate.

  • Highly motivated, able to drive results and execution without direct supervision. Others:

  • Bachelor Degree, MBA preferred

  • With 8 years progressive procurement/supply chain experience, 5 -7 years in IT industry, distribution, Channel experience is an added advantage

  • Good English and Japanese language skills, Korean is a plus.
