Account Manager, Prime Now in Meguro, Japan

The Amazon Strategic Projects team is seeking a creative, results-oriented and highly entrepreneurial person to join our exciting and fast-paced team. We're looking for a smart, talented Account Manager to support the Business Development and Partner Managers for Prime Now. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering the best customer experience and develops and executes strategies to grow our partnerships and selection.

The Account Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Onboarding – Work cross functionally with internal retail support teams to build scalable selection and lead onboarding processes to enable our rapid expansion

  • Account Management – Own and drive end-to-end account management work, including tracking/analyzing/reporting key metrics, developing/executing action plans to drive business growth, and proposing merchandizing/marketing plan to merchants.

  • Business Development – Work closely with the Business Development Managers on strategic negotiations

  • 3-5 years of account and project management experience

  • Passion for metrics and strong quantitative analysis skills, and ability to turn analysis into actionable programs

  • Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques

  • Demonstrated skills in managing complex processes with multiple business owners, making trade-offs against business priorities

  • Strong drive for execution and delivering results

  • Relentless customer focus

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams

  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

  • A passionate self-starter with the ability to effectively deliver results in an ambiguous environment

  • Conversational level English and native level Japanese language skills required

  • BA/BS required

  • Ecommerce experience preferred

  • SQL skills preferred
