Essential Responsibilities

-Manage all stages of the real estate lifecycle for GE in Japan

-Provide insight, direction and subject matter expertise for developing both short and long-term real estate initiatives that aligns with the corporation’s financial and strategic objectives

-Fulfill needs for space (acquisition, renewal, expansion, relocation, disposition, subleasing, etc.) through the identification business needs

-Management of real estate service providers

-Provide critical compliance service and support on transactional activity, ensuring business compliance with GE policy

-Review of regional/global properties market trends

-Continually focus on data improvement/system utilization

-Manage the systems approval process and data integrity relevant to transactions using online transaction tracking and database technology tool(s)

-Drive ongoing communication with key business stakeholders via verbal and written updates and reports

-Gather necessary information to FASB Accounting reviews which are part of transactional management

-Monitor and ensure Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance on all transactions working with the relevant EHS managers

-Monitor and ensure legal compliance on real estate deals working with the

company's in-house legal counsel

-Monitor markets for proactive cost reduction opportunities including renegotiating lease renewals, dispositions, rent reviews and subleasing transactions

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10+ years of Real Estate management knowledge and experience (with an emphasis on tenant representation or operational experience) in a property related role.

-Ability to understand and execute real estate transactions

-Ability to understand financial models and strong financial aptitude

-Strong data management skills

-Computer skills/proficient in real estate applications and tools, as well as Microsoft office products Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Eligibility

Requirements:

-Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Japan.

-Must be willing to work out of a Tokyo office.

-Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.

Desired Characteristics

Desired Characteristics:

-Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Engineering or Architecture and/or relevant Real Estate license(s) in Japan

-Real Estate management knowledge and experience

-Experience with property site inspections and transaction management in both industrial and commercial real estate

-Knowledge of FASB accounting regulations

-Preferred to have prior experience in Tririga system

-Excellent oral written communication, presentation, negotiation and inter-personal skills.

-Strong organizational and time management skills.

-Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

-Ability to work well independently and under pressure.
