AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

Aircraft Worker

Perform aircraft wash and lubrication, assist mechanic to accomplish corrosion control; to include minor paint of assigned aircraft, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), and Special Purpose Vehicles. These duties may include the application of aircraft soaps to cleanse aircraft outer surfaces, identification of corrosion or paint defects, mechanical sanding of surface coatings, and/or minor application of exterior paints to aircraft. They may also assist aircraft mechanics.

Clean aircraft interior and exterior parts and assemblies with solvent or other cleaning solutions. Inflate tires, fills fuel tanks, and oil reservoirs, and lubricate vehicles using grease guns. Perform routine duties such as furnishing materials; tools and supplies. lifting and holding materials in place during maintenance operations; and cleaning work areas, machines, tools and equipment. Learns safe work practices on various contract units and components. Performs pre / post wash lubrication procedures. Installs and removes protective covers. Moves aircraft utilizing towing equipment of needed.

Minimum Requirements


Must be able to perform all essential requirements listed in the job description and requirements for the job including: Using a high-pressure wash system washes and rinses the aircraft and / or components.

Must be familiar with normal operational safety requirements working on and around aircraft and flight line support equipment. Must be capable of comprehending written and oral instructions for the use of aircraft cleaning equipment. Extreme care required when washing aircraft and / or components to prevent unnecessary damage to painted surfaces. Must be able to meet any Government / Company licensing / qualification requirements.

Three (3) years actual and recent related experience in the field consistent with the requirements set forth in the contract/delivery order.

Ability to lift 50 lbs for an extended period of time. Have a valid driver’s license, be able to obtain a military drivers license and operate various aircraft equipment use for preventative maintenance.
