The Brand Digital team is a core function of Nike Japan’s marketing team, focusing on serving and engaging with our athletes* on various digital platforms.

About the role

As Nike evolves together with our consumers, digital is an indispensable and central component for our marketing efforts. Especially, as new technologies and platforms emerges constantly and as Nike connects and engages on multiple digital platforms, this role of Brand Digital Manager for Platforms will become a significant role within Nike Japan marketing’s growth strategy for the future.

In this role, you will be expected to strategize, develop, plan, manage and own multiple digital platforms and consumer experiences from end-to-end. New platform development, editorial calendar planning and cross-disciplinary coordination will be your main responsibility, while creating contents and experiences that is inspirational, enriching, insightful and entertaining will also be an expected output.

Simultaneously, as a manager, you will be responsible to work closely with other stakeholders within Japan’s organization as well as global counterparts in world headquarters. You will be required to exemplify strong leadership by setting a clear vision, bringing innovative thinking to the team, together with managing execution happening on ground.

  1. Execute the Brand Vision through digitally connecting the best of Nike to our consumers.

  2. Lead overall digital experiences of Nike and integrate brand experiences and commerce to deliver business growth.

  3. Define agency engagement and relationships; who we work with and what our contract/expectations will be.

  4. Set team expectations for the creation of new digital platforms, contents and marketing plans from strategy to execution.

  5. Link site metrics to overall brand metrics for evaluation of strategy vs. execution

  6. Provide content that is inspirational, enriching, insightful, and entertaining for the consumer

  7. Team and budget planning/management


  1. Educational requirements: minimum of Bachelors Degree

  2. 5+ years experience in digital marketing, brand marketing or related field. (agency experience acceptable)

  3. 2+ years experience as manager

  4. Knowledge with digital media planning will be a plus.

  5. Fluency in Japanese and English language
