Bloomberg Client and Remote Site Representative in Tokyo, Japan

A trader can't access Bloomberg, our first line technical support team requires a site visit, you respond quickly and think on your feet. Within minutes, your troubleshooting skills have got the trader back up and working. You're a calm voice and have a cool head in a fast-paced environment, you're customer service driven. Our clients internally and externally can count on you. You wear many hats working in the Bloomberg Field Service Department. You are part of a local team that works on a multitude of tasks that includes servicing our customers over the phone or on-site through to supporting our internal infrastructure.

You’ll need to have:

The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment demonstrating high energy, a sense of urgency, and decisiveness

Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanour when handling complex issues

Experience with Windows OS, Android/IOS, Desktop Support

Knowledge of the network stack such as routers, switches, firewall, and LAN/WAN technologies

Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always available service

Willingness to work on a ticketing system for tracking progress, communication, and adhering to SLAs

A teamwork attitude whilst equally confident in making decisions independently

Outstanding customer service and communication skills

We would love to see:

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Desire to design and develop large-scale software systems

Programming experience in SQL, JavaScript, C#, HTML, CSS

Web Server Administration experience, particularly IIS, Windows Server 2012, or Security and Authentication

Proven experience in web programming with live example sites or code
