  • The Team - Japan Marketing* Report to Japan Marketing. For industry and vertical marketing, there are other members who are driving Manufacturing, Finance, S+CC, Sports and Entertainment and Retail. In addition, there are content marketing team members for each architecture; EN, Security, Collaboration and DC. This person need to work with all team members as well as Sales stakeholders to deliver the impactful content for Education and Workstyle innovation

  • Role & Responsibilities* ● Shape Cisco industry-specific thought leadership targeting line-of-business executives and imperatives with agile Education industry-differentiated value proposition messaging, solutions and go-to-market campaigns.

● Collaborate with customers, peers, account teams, analysts, press, and other external / internal audience and utilize real-time analytics to lead Cisco industry-specific strategy, GTM plans and targeted messaging to accelerate digital business models for manufacturers ● Develop and curate portfolio of locally relevant content and assets that compel LoB exec buying centers to enter into an engagement with Cisco. .

● Ensures successful execution of strategy across the organization in support of Cisco’s business objectives, including continued growth and solution (product and services) recognition ● Has deep knowledge of industry’s imperatives and initiatives and understands how to translate that into Cisco’s strategy for solutions, technologies, products and services ● Partner with In country sales, marketing team as well as participate in global manufacturing topic teams to build and execute the Education GTM plan

The similar role for for Work Style initiative. The focus for Work Style initiative is more on the thought leadership activities in all industries. Need to align to HR/Operation Team for the initiatives

  • Minimum Qualifications* ● Minimum 5 years Education industry expertise and experience in sales, business development and/or marketing ● Deep knowledge of Cisco’s strategic initiatives, industry-oriented solution offerings, technologies, services and customer line-of-business challenges ● Business acumen, knowledge and expertise to anticipate business / industry issues, recommend industry / customer solutions, design and implement Cisco business framework / process improvements, and actively provide expertise in the influence of sales / business development with customers and partners ● –Business level English for communication and writing

  • Desired Skills* ● Analytical skills to identify, pursue and resolve high-impact problems and opportunities ● Innovative thinking to simplify and develop solutions to complex problems with broad business impact ● Communication skills to simplify complex business development ideas/opportunities and articulate with relevance, laddering up-and-down the ranks to persuade Cisco cross-functional leadership/execution, executive decision-makers, external industry groups, customers and partner on high-impact opportunities ● Bachelors in Business, Marketing or equivalent, plus 5 years of related experience ● MBA or advanced degree preferred ● Estimated 30% travel required
