The Global Partner Marketing team is responsible for:
Supporting new partner acquisition
Developing and delivering the tactical and strategic marketing program
Supporting partner adoption of Expedia products and programs
Creating global marketing messaging and branding
Managing operational partner communications.
Position Overview This is a newly created role that will be responsible for executing the APAC trade marketing strategy in North East Asia (including Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea) to assist with new partner acquisition and partner engagement. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the North East Asia travel industry, ideally from a B2B/trade perspective; who will ensure relevancy to the market and highlight new opportunities to leverage.
The role is based in Tokyo, Japan and reports into the Senior Trade Marketing Manager – APAC based in Singapore.
As the Marketing Manager – North East Asia you will:
Build country relevant marketing plans to support country market management business strategy in keeping with the overarching APAC strategy
Drive marketing activities for the North East Asia markets, for example:
Partner newsletters and email communications
Webinars, seminars and events
Partner community creation/Expedia experts management
Social messaging communication
Partner appreciation gift supply and dispersal.
Manage sub-region marketing budget
Partner with Country Market Management leadership teams to support local business objectives.
Tailor core marketing collateral and content for the sub-markets whilst ensuring regional and global consistency.
Manage one-to-many scalable marketing activities for regional partners.
Execute test and learn activities to assess the effectiveness of trade marketing tactics.
Track and analyse the performance of trade marketing activities, linked to clear business KPIs.
Coordinate as required with central marketing team, Global Partner Events and Industry Relations over the execution and delivery of activities.

We’ll expect you to have the following:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing role, at least 2 of which should be in the Travel or Tourism industry. International work experience an advantage.
Marketing, business or similar relevant Bachelor’s degree.
Background of delivering results in competitive markets, prioritising opportunities.
Strong fluency in English, both written and verbal.
