Job Description

The Regional Business Operations team, Japan Business Operations, Planning & Strategy (JBOPs), is aligned to the regional sales organization and is the primary business partner for Japan General Manager and Sales management and represents Japan leadership within APJ and Corporate executive forums and project teams and also in implementing initiatives within the Japan Region.

Team JBOPs works as a central engine of the core business operations and strategic business planning and provides professional services to Japan Sales Organization and each Function. Sales Strategy and Business Operations Analyst reports to Manager, Sales Operations under the Regional Director of Business Operations & Strategy and is supported by the APJ Central Operations & functions (or directly reports to the Regional Director of Business Operations and Strategy)

Responsibilities:

•\tGrowth Strategy & Business Planning: Identify and assess existing sales transformation strategies, organization and process, and build the mid-term growth strategy and implementation plan with the Regional Director of Business Operations & Strategy, collaboratively working with senior leadership members.

•\tPartnership and Support: Partnering with various cross functional groups in driving forward the strategic company transformation in Japan

•\tSales Strategy Support: Support the sales transformation with the identification and execution of key sales strategy efforts resulting from the evolution of the business.

•\tSales Transformation Support: Supporting driving the company transformation activities including:

(a) Development and execution of the sales transformation roadmap in alignment with

corporate & APJ direction and efforts

(b) Interfacing with the various cross-functional groups required to support & drive the sales

transformation activities in Japan

(c) Development and management of the scorecard and giveback in partnership with the

 APJ and Japan key stakeholders

•\tBusiness Management Support including:

(a)\tManagement Reporting and QBR preparation, Business KPI monitoring and regular business status update to sales leaders, collaboratively working with Sales Strategy team.

(b)\tBusiness analysis on actual booking data for Management team and Field Sale making reports as needed

(c)\tSupporting global system launch/enhancement project (Anaplan, Salesforce, SAP, etc.) and sales enablement for Sales productivity improvement

Required Experience:

•\tBS/BA Required. Masters or MBA degree preferred.

•\tMore than 8-10 years’ experience within a IT industry

•\tMinimum of 5+ years of sales transformation/business planning/ account planning/execution and PMO experience including:

(a) Sales Strategy Experience: Understands/experienced in develop practical GTM strategy and coverage projects to effectively grow an organization from being focused on a single to multiple product families in an increasingly complex customer environment leveraging multiple channels

(b) Sales Operations Experience: Understands/experienced with running sales operations in a business to business context including challenges and opportunities associated with account coverage, order management, discount management, ELA processing, etc.

(c) Sales Transformation Experience: Understands the issues and opportunities associated with transforming a sales organization. Experience in program managing a complex program changes, managing transformations, and change efforts

•\tStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•\tExperience with CRM, DBMS, SFDC preferred

•\tAttention to detail is critical especially in the transactional side of the role

•\tAble to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and less defined environment

•\tOutstanding time management, prioritization and organizational skills

•\tAbility to manage multiple tasks at once (flexible and self-sufficient)

•\tAbility to work well in a team environment

•\tNative level Japanese and Business level English language skill
