Honeywell Japan Stationary OEM Sales in Japan
The Japan Stationary OEM Account Manager will report to the Asia Sales Manager and will be responsible for leading our sales efforts at stationary customers. The successful candidate will maintain existing sales and grow our book of business at all AC OEMs in Japan by building relationships across each customer’s organization including engineering, procurement, materials management, facility engineering, marketing and executive. Examples of key customers include Mitsubishi, Sharp, Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba, the Account Manager will also work closely with the Honeywell aftermarket sales team to coordinate sales of aftermarket product to OEM after sales organizations. Fluency in Japanese and English is required. The role will require at least 30% overnight travel and the person will work from home or from the Tokyo office The annual territory sales revenue is in excess of $10M.
The successful candidate will: • Build strong relationships across all customer functions including procurement, engineering, supply chain, plant operations, marketing, and executive. • Administer supply contracts already in force in the territory and develop commercial approaches to extend contracts in the future • Develop new customers for the products and propose contracting approaches at new accounts. • Design and manage account plans that direct the overall account approach • Operate a consistent and efficient sales pipeline and operating system (MOS). • Maintain a broad industry IQ including competitive intelligence • Coordinate sales activities with peers at other Honeywell businesses (HTT) and with Europe and N. America Fluorine Products sales peers. • Gain basic technical competency in fluorocarbon product technology and on regulatory issues that impact the customers in the territory. • Build a strong network of Honeywell internal relationships to drive customer satisfaction and acquisition including supply chain, logistics, regulatory, legal, marketing, customer service. • Successfully manage large complex customers and cover customer’s use locations which may be spread across a broad geography. • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to achieve goals. Be proactive and operate productively in an unsupervised environment • Possesses excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills to enable conversation with a variety of audiences. Qualifications: • MBA desired but not required • 5-10 years of outstanding results calling on large complex accounts operating in the automotive industry • Experienced at calling on long cycle customers (Stationary OEMs or otherwise) • History of managing a $10M territory with broad geographic coverage • Growth oriented • Experienced at successfully working in an unsupervised home office environment
