Join a global, virtual team that launches new features to customers twice a week on its enterprise SaaS platform (Ruby on Rails) used by tens of thousands of scientists and researchers across the globe daily. You will have responsibility in all stages of the software development process: development, testing, bug fixing, deployment, enhancements, and performance optimization. This will include:

  • Implementing scalable Web Services

  • Writing performant, maintainable code that is easy to read and well-documented

  • Writing automated tests to thoroughly validate the correctness of your code

  • Working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast moving team

  • Effectively work in a team environment working with fellow engineers and product marketing

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrate capability and have at least 2-3 years experience with Ruby on Rails (ideally with an enterprise SaaS product)

  • Background in MVC Design and Architecture

  • Worked with an application that has continuous deployment/integration testing/release processes

  • Full stack web development experience

  • HTML5, CSS, and Javascript (React) experience a plus

  • SQL database experience/knowledge

  • Be well versed in gems, Rails web services, messaging patterns, data engineering and OOP background

  • Experience performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and managing technical resources within project schedules

  • Experience designing with RSpec, TDD and CI environments

  • Experience working with GIT

Qualifications

Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent.

Minimum of 1-2yrs relevant experience with typically 2-4yrs.
